Summer Spatial Preposition Matching
First up, have students match concepts to introduce a variety of spatial prepositions. Choose a matching activity with picture to picture, picture to text, or picture to symbol depending on your students level of need. Turn cards face down for a fun game with multiple student during speech and language sessions!

Spatial Concepts Clip Cards
Print the concept cards in either color and black and white. Have students use a clothespin to clip the correct preposition or cover the preposition with any type of manipulative. We like to use pom-poms, mini-erasers, or paint dotters. Great way for students to identify each spatial preposition.

Preposition Punch Cards
These summer spatial preposition punch cards are awesome for so many reasons! Students can practice their language skills, but also work on fine motor skills. Find the correct preposition card and punch with a single hole punch or cover with any type of manipulative.


Summer Smash Mats
These smash mats will be one of your go-to summer spatial preposition activities! Grab some play dough and one of these no prep smash mats. We like to throw them into a page protector for repeated use then send home for speech homework. But students can also use paint dotters or crayons to color in each concepts if play dough isn’t an option!

Spin A Summer Preposition
Our students LOVE this summer spatial preposition activity. Print the concept wheel, large sand bucket, and crab pictures. Grab either a pencil and paperclip for a homemade spinner or grab one of this clear overlay spinners. Students can spin a spatial concepts then move the crab and bucket to demonstrate their understanding.

Pick A Summer Spatial Preposition
This next activity is similar to the spin a preposition above, but with less visuals supports. Students can choose a card and read the direction in a sentence. Then students can move the sand bucket and crab manipulatives to show their amazing summer spatial preposition knowledge!
Summer Spatial Preposition BINGO
Who doesn’t love a good old fashioned game of BINGO? This easy version of BINGO will definitely be one of your go-to summer spatial preposition activities. Just print the BINGO boards as well as the calling cards. Students can cover their responses with the included BINGO chips or simply color their responses. Perfect for large group or whole group speech and language sessions!

2-Part Cards
These next summer spatial preposition activity is our take on a simple matching game. Print the included cards then cut apart on the solid black line. Have students match the correct sentence to the corresponding picture. They can then glue their matches onto a piece of paper or kept them apart for additional practice at home!

Interactive Summer Preposition Book
For an adaptive spatial preposition book, print and laminate this interactive activity. While it may take a bit more work on the front end, we promise the finished product will be worth it! Read each page and have students place the crab in the correct place throughout. Also there are two versions available! One version with just a written sentence and one with added visual prompts.

Summer Concepts Student Activity Book
This next summer spatial preposition activity is ideal for speech and language homework! Send students home with their very own interactive book plus the mini crab pictures. As they read the story, students place crabs in the correct place. There is even a sentence strip is on the bottom of each page to encourage sentence expansion!


Make A Summer Spatial Preposition Scene
