Christmas Gingerbread House Speech Therapy Articulation Craft
To kick things off, we have a super comprehensive Christmas Gingerbread House Speech Therapy Articulation Craft! Students will love decorating their very own speech gingerbread house while practicing their target sounds. You will love it because we have included every sound in every position plus a blank page for any target we may have missed!
The craft craft includes the following speech sounds in every position and mixed: /p/, /b/, /m/, /n/, /w/, /h/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /z/, /f/, /v/, /sh/, /ch/, /th/, /j/, /l/, /r/, /air/, /ar/, /ear/, /er/, /ire/, /or/, /sw/, /sm/, /sp/, /sn/, /st/, /sl/, /sk/, /bl/, /kl/, /fl/, /gl/, /pl/, /sl/, /br/, /kr/, /dr/, /fr/, /gr/, /pr/, /tr/. And there are 12 target sounds per page!
Have students color the gingerbread house, windows, and candy pieces then glue on the target speech sound words. Precut the items for a speedy session or have students cut them out to extend the activity over multiple sessions. Practice each target word throughout the entire craft.

Christmas Vocabulary Scavenger Hunt Activity
Next up, we have a low prep Christmas activity to get your kids moving and your sessions grooving! Print this Christmas Vocabulary Scavenger Hunt Activity to target the following holiday words: Christmas Tree, Present, Sleigh, Candy Cane, Gingerbread Man, Reindeer, Santa, Elf, Lights, Ornament, Stocking, Stocking, Wreath, Hot Chocolate, Cookies & Milk.
Print and laminate the vocabulary cards to hide around the speech room, classroom, or place into a sensory bin. Use the provided sentence strip visual to create 4-5 word utterances. All images come in both black and white as well as full color.
Have students check off words as they find them on the Vocabulary Checklist, cover each concept on the Find & Cover page, or color the Christmas images on the Color & Find page.
Lastly, use the no-prep black and white coloring page to send as homework or use during a session to review the Christmas vocabulary concepts. Use the pretend magnifying glasses or a real one to search for the vocabulary words within a fun, colorful hidden picture scene. Great way to target spatial prepositions and direction following too!

Christmas Handprint Wreath
We love making these handprint holiday wreaths with our speech and language students. Not only are they a super simple craft and a cute fridge keepsake, but help target sequential actions, direction following, turn-taking and fine motor skills as well! All you will need is green construction paper, glue, a pencil, small red pom-poms, red paint dotter, and any colored ribbon you like.
We traced each student’s hand and made approximately 12 handprints. As a large speech and language group activity, we arranged the cut out hands in a wreath shape then added a bit of glue. Once the hands were glued together, each student added a red pom-pom and red paint dot wherever they wanted. Then we added the ribbon at the bottom and hung up the wreath with a magnet in the classroom!

First, our students really enjoy hunting for Christmas themed vocabulary words throughout the speech room or within a sensory bin. Ideal for those high energy groups or a whole group speech and language activity!
Second, we like the fact that our students don’t realize they are even working when they match the cards to their target sounds. After they find a vocabulary word, they can match it to the corresponding speech sound on their coloring page. Practice each target word while coloring.
