Bonus Language Activity:

As your speech students are coloring and pasting on their ice skaters, have your language kiddos use the blank page of ice skating items. Give them multi-step directions to color each picture then give another direction to have them place the item within the ice rink scene accurately. Great way to target directions with embedded concepts!

Winter Clothing

Let’s get dressed for winter play with this Winter Clothing Winter Speech Articulation Craft! Students will enjoy getting the kids ready for an outside adventure all while practicing their sounds.

Have students color the kids then find the correct page of target words you need and color. Cut out the clothing items and paste them on the kids. Practice each target word throughout the entire craft. A colored copy of the kids and winter clothing are provided for reinforcers in therapy sessions.

Bonus Language Activity:

While your speech and language students are getting the kids ready for winter, have your language students state each winter clothing items’ function in a complete sentence. For example, students can state, “We use a scarf to keep our necks warm.” Perfect way to target both speech sounds and functions within complete sentences during a winter session!

Ski Slope

Ever since I took a tumble on my 7th grade skiing field trip, I have not been a fan. But that doesn’t mean we can’t pretend to hit the slopes with this Ski Slope Winter Speech Articulation Craft! There are lots of fun pictures and actions to color and paste with this activity.

Color the background. Find the correct page of target words you need and color. Cut out the people/ski slope items and paste them on the background. Practice each target word throughout the entire craft. A colored copy of the background and people/items are provided for reinforcers in therapy sessions.

Bonus Language Activity:

Throughout the mountain scene, place the skiers and equipment on the page. Have students with language goals label the skiers location using spatial prepositions within complete sentences. Remove all of the items from the page and state simple sentences containing spatial prepositions (e.g., “Place the skier at the top of the mountain”, “Put the ski goggles next to the tree”, etc.). Great way to target labeling and identifying spatial prepositions during mixed goal therapy sessions!

Arctic Animals

This might be our favorite no prep winter speech therapy activity because these adorable arctic animals containing speech sounds are just super cute! Our Arctic Animals Winter Speech Articulation Craft includes the following cold weather animals: walrus, reindeer, snow rabbit, seal, penguin, Beluga whale, Arctic fox, puffin, and narwhal.

Have students color the arctic background. Find the correct page of target words you need and color. Cut out the arctic animals and paste them on the background. Practice each target word throughout the entire craft. A colored copy of the background and animals are provided for reinforcers in therapy sessions.

Bonus Language Activity:

With so many different arctic animals, your language students can formulate sentences containing descriptors for each of the pictures. For example, students can label size, color, and texture for each of the animals. In addition, students can sort the animals by land and water. A fun way to work on both speech and language goals!

Snowball Fight

Students will enjoy setting up their very own snowball fight scene with this Winter Snowball Fight Speech Articulation Craft. From stacks of snowballs and kids dodging snow, there are lots of fun pictures to color while practicing target speech sounds.
