What You Will Need

First, grab the Bigfoot Speech Therapy Articulation Craft, which includes two different forest backgrounds. All you need are the corresponding target sound footprint pictures plus the chosen background page. Then grab crayons, scissors, and glue!

This comprehensive craft includes the following speech sounds: /p/, /b/, /m/, /n/, /w/, /h/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /z/, /f/, /v/, /sh/, /ch/, /th/, /j/, /l/, /r/, /air/, /ar/, /ear/, /er/, /ire/, /or/, /sw/, /sm/, /sp/, /sn/, /st/, /sl/, /sk/, /bl/, /kl/, /fl/, /gl/, /pl/, /sl/, /br/, /kr/, /dr/, /fr/, /gr/, /pr/, /tr/.

All sounds have a mixed positions page, but the following sounds are included in the initial, medial, and final positions as well: /p/, /b/, /m/, /n/, /w/, /h/, /t/, /d/, /k/, /g/, /s/, /z/, /f/, /v/, /sh/, /ch/, /th/, /j/, /l/.

So pick which sound page is most appropriate! And do you have mixed speech and language groups? We know how that goes! This speech articulation therapy activity comes with a blank copy of footprints to work on additional targets you may have!

#1 Color & Say

Print the forest backgrounds as well as the appropriate page of sounds. Once your students choose their background, color each footprint while practicing each target sound. A colored copy of the forest backgrounds and footprints are provided for reinforcers in therapy sessions too!

What is Bigfoot’s favorite sport? FOOT-ball, of course!

#2 Cut & Say

Once both the background and footprints, have students cut out each footprint while saying the speech sounds again. Perfect to work in a bit of fine motor skills too! But if you have younger students or students with fine motor delays, precut the footprints prior to the speech therapy!

This one time Bigfoot walked into a bar…but nobody believed it!

#3 Glue & Say

Grab a glue stick and have students glue the footprints on to the forest background. When gluing each picture on, students have another opportunity to practice their sounds. While placing pictures on the page, have students describe where each one is using prepositional phrases too!

Sasquatch often gets mistaken for Bigfoot. Yeti never complains.

#4 Point & Say

Of course, the final Bigfoot speech therapy craft will be legendary! After coloring, cutting, and gluing the craft to completion, students can practice their target sounds one last time by pointing and saying their words. Then be sure to send the Bigfoot proof home for additional practice!

Why does Bigfoot only leave footprints behind? Sasquatch doesn’t litter in the great outdoors.

Despite no concrete Sasquatch evidence out there, we feel this Bigfoot Speech Therapy Articulation Craft could be a strong argument of existence! With irrefutable footprints, your students not only will have proof, but also an awesome craft to practice their speech sounds throughout many, many times! So don’t wait for the next sighting and grab your craft today!
